Debbie Petersen
Debbie Petersen is an advocate for persons with disabilities. She is the Chief Nursing Officer for Spalding Rehabilitation Hospital. Debbie lives in Broomfield, Colorado and works in Aurora, Colorado. She states "I have a desire to make sure all Colorado residents can access the services they need. As a nurse dedicated to rehabilitation, my focus is on preparing those who have a disability to be able to live in their community and to function independently."
Debbie is excited to be a part of the Colorado SILC to help make sure that many individuals can realize their dreams and desires to live where and how they want to live. She would like to see the SILC achieve its goals to reach out to those who are currently underserved and provide the support needed to expand independent living services throughout Colorado.
